7th April - World Health Day
World Health Day 2023 will focus on the theme, ‘Health for All,’ marking the 75th anniversary of the World Health Organization (WHO).
9th April - Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday is a day for Christians around the world to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the hope of new beginnings. Although Easter maintains great religious significance, many children in countries such as Australia, Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, think of it as a time to celebrate spring, decorate eggs and participate in Easter egg hunts where eggs are hidden by the Easter Bunny.
11th April - World Parkinson's Day
World Parkinson’s Day takes place on 11 April every year to raise awareness of Parkinson’s. Living with this neurological condition is tougher than people think. But it doesn’t define you. You are still you. You can still do amazing things in spite of Parkinson’s.
13th April - Managing Stress and Worry Course
This 4-week online course looks at a variety of self-help strategies that can help us learn to recognise, understand, and manage stress and worry, at the same time offering a chance to benefit from peer support and through sharing your experiences with like-minded others. The course aims to help reduce the various impacts that stress and worry can bring, helping to improve our overall mental health and wellbeing.
14th April - H.O.P.E for Anxiety and Depression Course:
The H.O.P.E course (Helping Overcome Problems Effectively) is a 6-week online course developed by Torbay and South Devon NHS Trust designed to help people to cope better with their long-term health conditions.
