Executive Team & Trustees
Eilis leads our Executive Team and is responsible to the Trustees for the achievement of the charity’s objectives.
Andy is responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership and management oversight to all the finance functions for the charity.

Amanda is responsible for our corporate services.
Sue became Chair in 2018, bringing leadership, governance and management experience from her role in the NHS, and higher education and charitable sectors.
Imran has been our trustee since 2013. He is currently a Management Accountant with Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.
Diane has been our trustee since September 2017. She is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and a previous Trustee and Vice Chairman of the Charity Finance Group.
Robert has been our trustee since May 2017. He is currently a director of a business advisory and management consultancy firm. Robert has over 25 years’ management consulting experience focusing on business transformation and organisational change.
Mark has been our trustee since 2014. Since 2003 he has undertaken a number of consultancies and investigative assignments for the NHS and has been Vice Chair of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), a Governor of Plymouth University and Chair of the Devon Partnership NHS Trust.
Edmund has been our Trustee since 2013, after volunteering his services as a legal adviser to the board. He is a member of the Devon Air Ambulance management team and a Director of The Treatment Network Group Limited.
Robert was appointed as trustee in September 2018. Rob is the current Chief Executive of the Royal Lifesaving Society and has previously worked as the Chief Executive Officer at the children’s charity, CHICKS (Country Holidays for Inner City Kids), and Falmouth and Exeter Students’ Union.
Sarah is known for her work as CEO of YoungMinds, where she influenced the Government; the NHS, Education; funders and the general public to recognise and respond to the crisis in young people’s mental health. Her work was recognised with the award of an OBE for children and young people’s mental health in 2017.
Paul was appointed as a Trustee of Step One in July 2019. Paul is currently working (part-time) as Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for Devon Partnership NHS Trust. Paul has worked in the NHS for the past 40 years.
