BeWell@StepOne gets a boost from Exeter Chiefs Foundation

We are delighted to announce that BeWell@StepOne – our online support service for those experiencing mental health difficulties – has received an incredible grant from Exeter Chiefs Foundation.

Funds received from the Exeter Chiefs Foundation will be used to buy IT equipment for our BeWell@StepOne project so that people who require additional support will be able to access the online courses, workshops and peer support groups offered by the service.

At a time when more people than ever are looking for support with mental health issues, it is vitally important that we remove all the barriers we can for people to access our services. The grant from the Exeter Chiefs Foundation means that more people will be able to access courses and workshops that will help them discover self-management tools to manage their mental health and wellbeing, and they will also have the offer of ongoing support through our peer support groups which meet online regularly.

Chairman of Exeter Chiefs Foundation, Tony Rowe OBE, said:  “The Step One team are doing great work across the community, we are pleased to offer the support of the Foundation to ensure this program is open to all.”

Chief Executive of Step One, Eilis Rainsford, said: “We’re immensely grateful for the support of the Exeter Chiefs Foundation for our BeWell@StepOne project. The mission of the BeWell@StepOne is to reach as many people as possible through our online mental health support services and the generous donation from the Exeter Chiefs Foundation will be used to provide specialist IT equipment and ensure that our services really are accessible to all.”
