There are many ways that you can give back to charities in support of the work that they do – and they don’t all have to involve giving money.
Find a campaign that you wish to support and write to your MP. Here is a campaign by the Mental Health Foundation to ask for more to be done ‘Mental health in schools: Make it Count’
Buy some items for your local food bank. Most supermarkets have collection points for donations to food banks so just buy an extra item or two with your regular shopping
Step One supports people to manage their mental health, achieve employment goals and live more independently with services ranging from mental health crisis care and recovery to one-to-one mentoring in employment and independent living skills.
By making a donation to Step One this Giving Tuesday, you’ll help us support the people we work with to discover their own strengths, and build a sense of hope, as well as develop resilience and potential.
Watch the video below to learn more about how Step One can make a difference to someone experiencing mental health issues.
The easiest way to donate on Giving Tuesday is online. You can donate online to Step One here.
But there are so many ways to donate, you could donate to our Facebook Fundraiser by clicking on the donate button on our Facebook page.
You can also donate through Amazon Smile where at no cost to you, AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of your purchase price to Step One. Simply visit Amazon Smile or enable AmazonSmile in your Amazon app and shop as usual.
