Community Support Worker – Full Time

We are currently looking for dedicated and committed full-time Support Workers to join our strong and friendly Community Support team. In this role you will be supporting people with autism spectrum condition, learning difficulties and mental health concerns across Exeter, Torbay and Devon, assisting in the delivery of a comprehensive and effective service to people who look to us for support and enabling.
Step One is a leading third sector provider of recovery supportive services for those with mental health concerns and/or autism spectrum condition in Devon and Torbay and is committed to the continuing development of recovery values in practice. You will be working with people who live in our accommodation based service, as well as supporting people in their own homes and their local community.
Through a collaborative, creative and responsive approach, you will build relationships with the people we support, in order to improve their health and wellbeing and enable their emotional, physical, intellectual and social needs. A typical day could be supporting with medical appointments, engaging in activities, having a coffee or supporting with life skills such as searching for work, managing finances and/or cooking. No two days are the same, which makes this a varied, challenging and rewarding role.
