Experience the thrill of wing walking while making a difference for Step One Charity!
Take to the skies with this once-in-a-lifetime experience that will see you securely strapped to the wing of a 1940’s Being Stearman Biplane for a thrilling 10 minutes! You’ll get to experience soaring through the air at speeds of up to 130mph, all whilst taking in stunning views of the Devon countryside.
Not only is wing walking an incredible experience, it’s also a fantastic way to support your local mental health charity. We’ve partnered with Wing Walk Buzz, based in Dunkeswell, to provide you with the opportunity to participate for free when you make a minimum pledge of £599 in sponsorship.
When can I wing walk?
Our next official charity wing walk will take place on 6th April 2024, but you can choose any date you would like to do your wing walk. You’ll get the chance to decide at the point of booking with Wing Walk Buzz.
How do I sign up?

Visit our Step One Wing Walk Buzz page and choose the date for your wing walk. Our next official wing walk event is booked for Saturday 6th April 2024 at 11.30am but you can choose an alternative date if you can’t make that particular day. Once you’ve chosen your date, follow the ‘Book Now’ instructions – remember to select the ‘Walk for free’ option and secure your jump with a £100 deposit.
Set up your fundraising page to share the news of your challenge
We recommend setting up a fundraising page on JustGiving and Facebook. This step is vital so that people can easily support you by donating to your charity wing walk and so that you raise the minimum amount required to participate for free. We can help you if you need any help setting up your page.
Spread the word
Tell everyone about your challenge and start collecting donations! Once you have the minimum amount, your big day is paid for. £300 of the money you raise will be given to Step One and anything over the minimum will also be sent directly to us.
